Nourishing the Planet interview with Cary Fowler Posted on August 10th, 2010 by

Cary Fowler is a member of the “Nourishing the Planet Advisory Group,” a subgroup of the Worldwatch Institute. In this interview with him in the Nourishing the Planet blog, he discusses the significance of crop diversity, the role of the seed bank in safeguarding diversity, and some of the things that individuals might do to educate themselves about plant diversity and work to preserve it.

We’ll also learn about an intriguing piece he wrote for the Huffington Post, entitled “Of Pandas and Peas,” about why preserving food plant diversity matters as much as preserving the diversity of animal life.
